Descriptive Paragraph

     If you make cheerleading or steppers for the first tim ein 7th or 8th grade, it's a big deal.  You are so excited to perform in front of everybody.  One thing that I remember the most about steppers that first year, was the first parade.  The semlls, what you see, hear, taster, and touch.  You can smell all the candy you're throwing to the kids, all the soda everyone is drinking on the hot summer day.  You can taste the water you're drinkingwhile walking down the street chanting and candy you're sneeking so you don't get in trouble by your coach.  You can hear the sirens from the police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances from behind all the floats. You can also hear the chants from the cheerleaders right in front of you.  But what you see is the best.  You can see people everywhere lining the street of Downtown Batesville. You can see all of the BJHS Steppers, Cheerleaders and all of the BHS Prancers and Cheerleaders pom-poms in the air and everybody throwing candy.  You can touch your pom-poms and the bag of candy you're required to get.  That is my first memory of being a BJHS Steppers, and my favorite memory of main street in Batesville.

Advertiesment Analysis

The tone of the add would be a pitiful beacuse it is such a sad situation.  The purpose of the pig being in the compassion and world farming advertisement, was becuase the people who created the add wanted different people to see how pitiful the situation is.
     The purpose of why the pig was on the advertiesment is because the poor thing was just standing there hopeless.  Pigs can't do anything about the way that they are born and what they were born into.  They also pointed out waht pigs would sound like when they get their teeth pulled out without drugs, just like us.  They sid that we would relate to the pif and feel compassion towards it. 
     A word that could be used to describe tone, would be pitiful.  One reason it would be pitiful, is because you feel so sorry for the poor farm animals. Because they can't do anything about what is happening to them.  Also because it is such a sad situation when helpless animals are being hurt. 
     That's why the pig is being used in the advertisement. Also why a good tone word for this add would be pitiful.
