Texting is not a big deal current connections 4 12-10-12

Everyone has a cell phone these days, so everyone is texting all the time.  People should be used to it by now.  But they are not.  I agree not paying attention to something more important than texting is very dangerous. Texting itself is not dangerous.  Why do people thing the actual act of texting is dangerous?
Not paying attention to something more important than texting is very dangerous.  If you are behind the wheel of a vehicle texting is not okay.  Driving is way more important that what is going on on your phone.  When some people are behind the wheel they think texting is perfectly okay, next thing they know, they're in the hospital with permanent injuries.  They now have life long struggles over something that could have very easily been avoided if they would have just left the phone in their pocket. But it was not, it happens every day.
The actual act of texting is not dangerous at all.  If you're just walking around the mall or something with your friends, texting is fine.  It's when you're doing pointless things and texting that it can't hurt you.  I don't like how the author of this article makes texting out to be so awful. In (http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/woman-falls-off-cliff-while-texting/?src=Outbrain ) it was talking about a woman falling off of a cliff while she was looking down at her phone.  Just looking down at her phone while she was on the cliff is fine, she just lost her footing.  It was an accident, accidents happen.
I don't understand why people think that texting is dangerous.  Stupid people do stupid things at the wrong time.  A lot of those times people have their phone in their hand and are more concerned with what the Facebook world has to say.  That doesn't mean that texting can actually hurt somebody though.  People need to understand this.
When you're doing something that requires lots of attention and concentration you should not be texting.  But texting is not dangerous when you're not driving or doing something stupid like that.  I will never understand people who think texting is dangerous.  It's not texting, its not paying enough attention to the more important thing.

Looters are in the wrong, current connections 11-5-12

It is not okay for the looters to come in and take things from stores when the whole town is going through such a devistating time already from Hurricane Sandy.
In the article on NY Daily news (http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/brooklyn/looters-target-coney-island-sandy-article-1.1195080) it says, "looters followed the sandy storm surge in Coney Island, creating a double whammy for business owners trying to pick up the obliterated pieces." The store owners are already going through a hard enough time with trying to get everything picked up and back together.  The store owners should not be having to deal with everything the looters are doing, along with the storm. It's just not fair.  The article also states, "We are supposed to come together as a community during times of crisis, not pick at each other like vultures"  When a natural disaster occurs in your area the community all feels a sense of greif and loss.  People should not be adding to the sad time by stealing things from other peoples businesses.  That's just not okay.
What the looters are doing to these poor businesses just isn't right.  The town does not need any more stress than they already have thanks to Hurricane Sandy.

Honey Boo Boo VS Abby Lee Miller

TLC has a hit new show, "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" the show follows a redneck family from

Georgia around all day and shows you their redneck adventures.  Honey Boo Boo might be different

and gross, but she is a person just like everyone else.  Honey Boo Boo does need to drop a few pounds,

and get into shape.  People who are more overweight than her should not be telling her to get into

shape.

Honey Boo Boo comes from a very different and strange family. Even though she is odd, she is a

person just like everybody else and does not deserve to be made fun of.  Everyone is making fun of the

show and family from a small town in Georgia.  They are all talking about how gross they are and their

accents.  That is very rude and just because they are different does not mean they are any less of a

person.

Even though Honey Boo Boo is just a normal person, she does need to drop a couple of pounds, for

her own health.  So many children in our nation are very overweight and unhealthy.  If she is going to

be on national TV, someone somewhere will be looking up to her.  If these people are looking up to

Honey Boo Boo that is their own problem. But she still needs to lose weight so other children will not

think it is okay to be overweight.

Honey Boo Boo does need to shed some weight, but there is a right and wrong way to go about

saying it.  Abby Lee Miller from Lifetimes hit show "Dance Moms" said in an interview (

http://www.tmz.com/2012/09/27/dance-moms-abby-lee-miller-honey-boo-boo-video/ ) that she thought

Honey Boo Boo needed to "get in shape" and that she needed to "get some training" Abby Lee is very

overweight herself and the country is looking up to her just as much as Honey Boo Boo, if not more.

She does not need to be criticizing other people before herself.  She is very overweight and needs to

take that into consideration before she judges a 7 year old the next time.

Honey Boo Boo is a normal little girl who is from a small Georgia town.  She needs to shed a

couple pounds, but overweight people do not need to tell her to do so, like Abby Lee Miller.

Michael Jackson, Healthy or Not?

Michael Jackson was an amazing performer, singer, and songwriter that we all knew and loved.  Unfortunately MJ passed away when he was perfectly healthy due to an overdose of medicine given to him by his doctor.  Or was he perfectly healthy?  Some believe Michael Jackson was not in good health whenever he passed away, that he was not ready to perform his shows that he had planned, and that he was mentally unstable
Michael Jackson was not in good health whenever he passed away.  "He is an emotionally paralyzed mess riddled with self loathing and doubt." (http://www.cnn.com/2012/09/06/showbiz/michael-jackson-leak/index.html?iref=all) That was from the text from the Michael Jackson article found in the link above.  If you are emotionally paralyzed then you have had something extremely hurtful and damaging happen.  Sometimes you can have something so emotional happen that it can cause physical damage to your body, which is probably what happened to Michael Jackson.
Michael was not ready to perform all of his shows that he had lined up to do.  "MJ is not in shape enough yet to sing this stuff live and dance at the same time"  (http://www.cnn.com/2012/09/06/showbiz/michael-jackson-leak/index.html?iref=all) Singing and dancing at the same time is basically what a concert is.  If MJ can not do that at rehearsal, then he definitely would not be ready for the actual shows.
Michael Jackson was not mentally stable.  "It is like there are two people in there. One (deep inside) trying to hold on to what he was and can still be.... I believe we need professional guidance in this matter." (http://www.cnn.com/2012/09/06/showbiz/michael-jackson-leak/index.html?iref=all) The text says that it was like there were two people in Michael's body.  To me that means there was a normal MK that everyone knew and loved, then there was the mentally unstable one that they needed professional guidance in the matter.  If you need professional help in a situation of someone's attitude, they are definitely mentally unstable.
The main question is was Michael Jackson all together healthy whenever he passed away or not? He was not in good health, not ready to perform his shows, and he was mentally unstable.  Those clues lead me to believe that he was not healthy

PEE Paragraph "Rebirth of Lower Manhattan"

They are wanting to make this World Trade Center more safe than the old Twin Towers. They are using special state of the art concrete that must be used within 90 minutes of mixing.  The concrete must be pretty thick for them to have to use it so soon after mixing it. In the "Rebirth of Manhattan" that the walls were going to be 3 feet thick, that is pretty safe.

Bucket List 2012-2013

1. Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver

I want to read this book because it has a very interesting story line. It has good characters and good writing it seems very interesting. We read an excerpt last year from the beginning of the book and I have been interested ever since. I just never got around to reading it.

2. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

This book seems very interesting.  I have had people recommend this book many times. I remember my friend read this book in the ninth grade and loved it. She told me some of the things that happened in this book and it seems like a winner.

3. She Said Yes by Misty Bernall

I started to read the book Columbine and I know this is a story behind that scary day at Columbine High School. I have also heard the story behind this girl and sometimes wonder to myself what I would do in that situation if I was ever put in it.  Scary to think about but I am very interested on how she handled herself and how her family reacted.

4. The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks

I really want to read this because I love this author.  Nicholas Sparks is an amazing writer and all of his stories are equally amazing but all so different. I have seen the movie behind this book and it was amazing. I know that Sparks' books are most of the time much better than the movie and so I am sure that it will be very good.

5. Soul Surfer by Bethany Hamilton

Bethany Hamilton is a very inspirational person and her story is insane. I could not imagine living without an arm after having one for as long as I could remember.  I could not even imagine doing something that I loved and a horrible tragedy happening. I am sure that her story in writing is amazing and that is why I want to read Soul Surfer

6.Columbine High by Dave Cullen

I want to read this book because I started it last year and never really got around to finishing it. I just got too busy.  From what I did read it was crazy to read it from the killers point of view and it was a very good read.  Those boys are crazy and it is unbelievable what they did.

7.  Dear John by Nicholas Sparks

I could not imagine what it would be like to see the one I love just go away after only knowing him for a short time.  I would love to read this to read the story and find out what happens. I am sure that Nicholas Sparks story will be amazing and I also heard that the movie and book were very good.

8. The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

As much as I love Nicholas Sparks' books and movies I have never read The Notebook.  I have seen the movie countless times and I love that story so much words can not even describe. I want to read it to see if the story is any different than the movie portrays it to be, and to see if it will be just as good. I am sure it will be.

9.  A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks

This is another classic Nicholas Sparks book, my friend always tells me how I need to watch the movie or read the book.  Of course with it being Nicholas Sparks I am sure that I will love it very much. I read the back and it seems like a touching story.

10.  The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks

I have also seen the movie for this story.  I think that the movie is awesome but very very sad.  I am sure that the story will be even more sad in writing because you can read the emotions that they are going through instead of trying to gather that from a movie. It is also a very good love story.

should simon feel sympathy towards the soldier?

Simon should not have to feel sympathy towards the soldier. He should not have to feel sympathy towards the soldier because it is probably really hard for him to even take the time to listen to him.  Simon could still forgive the soldier but not have sympathy for him.  Having sympathy and forgiving somebody are two very different things. It is not fair for the soldier to be upset about dying at 21; but Simon's fellow Jewish soldier to die at a young age and nobody cares. The soldier has no idea what Simon has really gone through. So, no he does not need to feel sympathy towards the soldier.

Forgiveness

I think the teenager who commits suicide should be forgiven.  Because usually the people that commit suicide are not all there and obviously have a lot of hardships going on in their lives.  I know of a girl who took her own life almost a year ago and she was really suffering.  Now that she is in a better place she is no longer in pain and experiencing hard things.  So, yes I think they deserve to be forgiven.
